Fridays at MCC: Orientation sessions offer head start for fall

Meridian Community College’s Orientation sessions will offer more than the chance for new students to register for college; they’ll also get the opportunity to take a closer look at MCC.

The sessions set for June 7, 14, 21 and 29 and July 26 give incoming freshmen a head start on the fall semester which begins Monday, Aug. 19.

All new students must attend an orientation session, said Brandon Dewease, director of recruiting at MCC. “This Is a new student’s opportunity to get acclimated to our campus, understand more about campus life, meet new people and register for classes,” he said.

Dewease added orientation is designed to prepare new students for a successful transition to life at MCC.

Attendees should pre-register by going to or by calling 601-483-8241.
