Warmer weather means it’s time to get outdoors and what better way to celebrate spring than to take a walk?
Community residents can do just that when Meridian Community College’s Wellness Committee hosts its fifth annual Walk for Wellness and campus and community on Friday, April 5, from 9-11 a.m. at the Damon Fitness Center.
Committee members urge participants to walk along the green stripe on the College’s fitness trail. Information about health and fitness opportunities at MCC will be available as will screenings to measure body mass index and blood pressure. “This is a great way to kick-start your fitness going into spring,” said Wade Heggie, MCC fitness center director.
